Since completing a degree in hospitality food management in 2011, Charlie Brodie has worked in a variety of roles for Marriott International, rising from event concierge at the JW Marriott Indianapolis in Indiana, US, to her current role as talent, learning and development manager at the London Edition.
Along the way she has worked as a front desk supervisor and food and beverage supervisor at the London Marriott Hotel Kensington, before joining the London Edition as event operations manager. She moved into a HR role, initially as head of talent and training, in 2015.
Brodie uses her operational experience as the foundation to take a collaborative approach to learning. She also works with the wider industry, through judging industry awards and hosting workshops at hospitality schools, to drive emerging talent.
